Nearly 4,000 workers are striking at a Taiwanese footwear plant in Vietnam in order to protest ill treatment by their bosses, reported the Taipei Times this week.

The mostly female workers accused managers of beating employees at the Sun Jade company. Workers have also claimed that they have been denied days off for sickness or deaths in the family and were docked a month’s pay if they did not report for work. Reports said this is the plant’s third strike since June.
