The North Face and JanSport will move their headquarters operations from two buildings in San Leandro, CA to a new waterfront office park in Alameda, CA in fall 2011.

Construction will begin on the five-building, 13.7-acre Harbor Bay Business Park in Alameda this fall. The companies currently employ about 350 people at their two buildings in San Leandro that house research and development, product design, warranty and customer service departments.

The North Face returned to San Leandro in 2001 after moving briefly to Colorado. That year, it was acquired by VF Corp., which relocated JanSport and Lucy Sportswear to San Leandro site.  Lucy will also move to Alameda.
