VF Corp. took the opportunity of announcing its reporting date for second quarter results (July 15th for those who are curious) to also update investors and analysts on its progress against previous results estimates.

VF may beat second quarter profit guidance because of stronger earnings from operations and a tax benefit. The company said its profit “could exceed” the 80 cents per share it previously expected by 10% to 12%. That guidance implies profit between 88 cents and 90 cents.
