VF Corporation announced today that Terry Lay, Vice President – Global Processes and Chairman, International Jeanswear Coalition has been named Vice President and Chairman, Outdoor and International Jeanswear Coalitions.
In his new role he will oversee the continued growth worldwide of VF’s Outdoor brands, including THE NORTH FACE(R), JANSPORT(R) and EASTPAK(R), in addition to his responsibilities for managing the Company’s jeanswear businesses in Europe and Asia.
“Terry will bring his operational expertise and international perspective to VF’s Outdoor Coalition as it continues to realize its growth potential,” said Mr. McDonald.
Lay, 55, has been with VF since 1974. He has headed VF’s international jeanswear units since 1999 and previously served as President of the Lee Company. Since 2000, he also has been responsible for VF’s global business processes and information technology services units.
In addition, Vice President – Finance, and Chief Financial Officer Robert Shearer, who since 2000 has also served as Chairman of VF’s Outdoor Coalition, has been given responsibility for VF’s global business processes, including the Company’s VF Services organization. His new title is Chief Financial Officer and Vice President – Finance and Global Processes. Shearer, 51, has been with VF since 1986.
