Mackey J. McDonald, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of VF Corporation announced new roles and responsibilities for several members of VF's management team, which are designed to spur and support future growth.
“We are taking a new approach to growth, spanning all coalitions, markets and countries. Putting the right leaders in the right roles will be a critical element of our success,” said Mackey J. McDonald, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
John Schamberger, currently Vice President and Chairman, North & South America Jeanswear and Playwear Coalitions, has been named to a new position, Vice President and Chairman – Cross Coalition Management. In his new role, Mr. Schamberger will be responsible for developing and executing growth plans with key customers across VF's coalitions. He will also be working to spearhead other new cross coalition opportunities for growth.
Terry Lay, currently Vice President and Chairman – Outdoor and International Jeanswear Coalitions will assume responsibility for all VF jeanswear operations worldwide. Mr. Lay's new title is Vice President and Chairman – Jeanswear Coalition. Overseeing $2.7 billion in global jeanswear businesses accounting for more than half of the Company's total sales, Mr. Lay will be focused on maximizing the Company's extensive portfolio of jeans brands, extending them into new categories and markets, and identifying new brands to reach new consumer segments.
Eric Wiseman, currently Vice President and Chairman – Global Intimates and Sportswear Coalitions, has been named Vice President and Chairman – Outdoor and Sportswear Coalitions. He is charged with continuing to execute aggressive growth strategies for the Company's Outdoor coalition, spearheading the turnaround and integration of Nautica, and leveraging the sportswear platform provided by Nautica to capitalize on new growth opportunities.
George Derhofer, currently Vice President and Chairman – Imagewear Coalition has added responsibility for the Company's global intimate apparel businesses. Mr. Derhofer's new title is Vice President and Chairman – Intimate Apparel and Imagewear Coalitions. Mr. Derhofer will drive the expansion of the Company's global intimates brand portfolio while continuing to implement Imagewear's “one-stop shop” strategy.
Mr. McDonald also announced the appointment of Boyd Rogers as Vice President – Global Supply Chain and Technology. Mr. Rogers has also been named to VF's Operating Committee. He will continue to be responsible for VF's Information Technologies/Information Services units and will continue to report to Vice President – Finance & Global Processes and Chief Financial Officer, Bob Shearer.
