Vasque inked a partnership with Western North Carolina based Public Relations firm, Darby Communications. Effective immediately, Darby Communications will represent media relations Vasque Footwear.

The initial PR strategy will spotlight Vasque product innovation within their key categories of trail running, multi-sport, hiking, backpacking, mountaineering and kids. Additionally, future product initiatives will be a focal point for the campaign, with Spring 2008 product announcements released next month. Darby Communications will also host media appointments at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Trade Show to showcase the Vasque Spring ‘08 collections.

“We opted to move forward with Darby Communications thanks to their proven track record with our North American Trail Tour,” stated Mark Dinndorf, Brand Manager. “Their work ethic and dedication to the program has exceeded our expectations.”

Prior to its new duties of handling Vasque PR efforts, Darby Communications planned and implemented the Vasque 2007 North American Trail Tour, a true grass-roots marketing program that supports trail runners nationwide. A key component to the tour is title sponsorship of multiple high-profile trail-running series events throughout the country. Based on the success of the 2007 program, Vasque has committed to the North American Trail Tour project for 2008.
