Vasque footwear has presented the Himalaya Trading Co with the award for Vasque International Distributor of the year during the ISPO trade exhibition in China. Vasque considers the Himalaya group largely responsible for strengthening sales and expanding the Vasque brand to be one of the top outdoor specialty brands in the Asian market.
“Awards are given to those distributors that display overwhelming achievement in the following criteria: An increase in units and dollars year after year, PR activity on behalf of the brand, and successful event marketing initiatives,” noted George Brown, Vasques Pacific Rim & Latin American sales & marketing manager. “I am extremely proud to declare that the Himalaya group has helped Vasque go from nowhere to number one outdoor specialty brand.”
Himalaya demonstrated a 78% increase in units and an impressive 84% increase in profits from last year. The distributor is also responsible for generating Vasque over 50 hits in a variety of magazines, newspapers, and product reviews including high profile publications like China Esquire and Mens Health.
“Himalaya has gone beyond expectation,” claimed Brown. “In addition to organizing and sponsoring three successful trail events the team also opened a new Vasque concept shop in the Sunlight Department Store in Beijing.”
