Vasque and outdoor industry partners Osprey Packs, NEMO Equipment, Leki Trekking Poles and Darn Tough Socks announced its official 2015 Thru-Hike Syndicate.

After a successful inaugural year on the Appalachian Trail, Vasque and Thru-Hike Syndicate brand partners decided to expand to the Pacific Crest Trail.

Members of the 2015 Thru-Hike Syndicate will be sharing photos, videos and stories throughout their thru-hiking experience via social media, and organically representing the brands during their trip. In exchange, all participating brands will supply the members with gear for their journey and will work with members when they need gear replenishments or replacements.

“We had an overwhelming response this year to the Syndicate and received a lot of outstanding applicants, making it a difficult decision to narrow it down to twenty-two finalists,” states Vasque Marketing Manager, Julie Quinn. “The Syndicate program increased visibility on the trail in 2014 for all brands involved and we are looking forward to another successful team of thru-hikers who are eager to share their journeys with others.”

Coming from the United States and Canada, the 2015 Thru-Hike Syndicate consists of eleven Pacific Crest Trail thru-hikers and ten Appalachian Trail thru-hikers. Many members of the team will be hiking for causes such as Project Canoe, Women’s Learning Partnership and Memorycare and many members have experience thru-hiking long trails around the world. 2015 is the inaugural year for the Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hike Syndicate and the members include Ali Edwards, Bethany Ward, Bri Leahy, Chris Backus, Greg Sagan, Jamison Lamb, Kern Ducote, Lauren Fowler, Lizzie Morrison, Taya Chase and Zac Barbiasz. The Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike Syndicate members are Brendan Bucko, Emmi Laakso, Jade McFadden, Jessica Georgia, John Morris, Josh Goebel, Krista Little, Mellanie Paredes, Morgan Hawckworth and Natalie Sawn.
