Vail Resorts, Inc. announced that Fiona Arnold, most recently deputy general counsel of Vail Resorts, has been named the Company's new Senior Vice President and General Counsel. As general counsel, Arnold will oversee all legal affairs of the Company and its subsidiaries.

From 2003-2006, Arnold served as associate general counsel for Western Gas Resources, Inc. in Denver, Colo., where she was responsible for the company's securities and corporate legal needs. She provided legal oversight to Western Gas' various acquisitions, including the acquisition of lease acreage and wells from Kennedy Oil in 2006 and the acquisition of gathering and processing assets of Duke Energy Field Services, Inc. in 2005. Arnold was also integral to the Western Gas merger with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in 2006. Prior to her position at Western Gas, Arnold was vice president of legal and business affairs and assistant general counsel for Crown Media Holdings, Inc. in Denver from 2001-2003. There she implemented corporate governance and securities reporting procedures for the company after it had been taken public. She started her legal career at two law firms in Australia before joining the law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in Dallas, Texas, in 1998.
Arnold is a native Australian and received her bachelor's of commerce degree from the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Australia, and her bachelor's of laws from the University of Adelaide in Adelaide, Australia. She received a graduate diploma in legal practice from the University of South Australia in Adelaide and her master's of laws from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Arnold, an avid skier and cyclist, lives with her husband William and two children in Denver, CO.
