Park City Bike Demos has been acquired by Robert DeMartini, the former CEO of New Balance who are recently appointed CEO of USA Cycling.
According to Bicycle Retailer, the store shut down in August but will be relaunched in April and co-managed by DeMartini’s daughter-in-law, Alyssa DeMartini. Gina Magnuson, the former controller at POC North America, will manage finance. Andre Shoumatoff, the store’s founder, will stay on in a buying role. Robert DeMartini is expected to largely be a silent partner given his role at USA Cycling.
The new owners’ goal is to make Park City Bike Demos one of the top 10 destination bike shops in the U.S.
