The U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) hired Liz McSorley in the newly-created position of managing director, Strategy and Innovation. McSorley, will work from Orlando, FL, reporting to Craig Morris, USTA’s chief executive, Community Tennis.

Aligned with the USTA’s mission to grow tennis at the community level, McSorley will work closely with Morris to develop and execute strategic priorities for the organization. McSorley is also responsible for unifying the association’s efforts across digital products, programs, marketing, research, and innovation to grow the sport and retain players across all levels.

“Liz has a proven track record in building and leading high-performance teams and is skilled in navigating complex, matrix and multi-layered organizations,” said Morris. “This skill set will enhance the USTA’s continuing drive for innovation in attracting and retaining tennis players of all ages and playing levels.”

Before joining the USTA, McSorley was a principal and management consultant for Elixirr, LLC. She also served as vice president of Experience Management for Munich Reinsurance. Before that, McSorley worked at consulting and media companies, including Emirates Integrated Telecommunications, as vice president of Customer Experience and at Rogers Communications as director of Marketing.
