US Youth Soccer, the largest youth sports organization in the country, extended its partnership that originally began in 1999 with Kohl’s Department Stores. Under the new agreement the partnership will extend through 2014 and will again designate Kohl’s as “The Official Retail Department Store of US Youth Soccer” and title sponsor of the popular Kohl’s US Youth Soccer American Cup.

Since 2005, Kohl’s has been the title sponsor of the Kohl’s US Youth Soccer American Cup, the largest recreational youth soccer tournament in the United States. Each year the Kohl’s American Cup reaches an average of 55,000 players and 145,000 spectators. In 2014, each Kohl’s American Cup event will feature all new interactive inflatable games in addition to giveaways, music and souvenirs.

“We are very excited to continue our long-standing and great relationship with Kohl's Department Stores,” said John Sutter, president of US Youth Soccer. “The Kohl's US Youth Soccer American Cup continues to grow and provide our recreational players a great opportunity for friendly competition in a fun, family-like atmosphere. Kohl's has been a tremendous supporter of our organization and we look forward to our continued relationship.”

Attendees of the US Youth Soccer Workshop at the NSCAA Convention can get a first-hand look at the enhancements to the Kohl’s American Cup for 2014 by attending the educational session on Friday, January 17 from 1-2:00 p.m. ET in Room 104A or by visiting the Kohl’s Department Store booth, #734.

Throughout its history, the Kohl's American Cup has served as an avenue to highlight recreational soccer players and promote fair play. The Kohl's American Cup has boasted more than 500,000 participants and 1,300,000 spectators since its inception in 2005.

Additionally, Kohl's will continue to support the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, the crown jewel of competitive youth soccer, at the regional and national levels, as well as supporting future US Youth Soccer opportunities to further the membership benefits of the association.

US Youth Soccer registers more than 3 million players annually, ages 5 to 19, and over 900,000 administrators, coaches and volunteers in 55 member State Associations. U
