For the second year in a row, the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum will host their Induction Ceremony at the SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show. The inductees represent a very diverse group of snow sports pioneers, athletes and developers, including the first inductees for snowboarding.

This year’s inductees include: Eric Bergoust, Mitch Cubberly, Tom Jacobs, Everett Kircher, Doug Lewis; and the first ever snowboard inductees: Jake and Donna Carpenter. The 2007 Class will be recognized during a ceremonial breakfast on Thursday, January 31, in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, home of the SIA.08 SnowSports Trade Show. Berquost, Jacobs, Lewis and the Carpenters will all be in attendance for the honorary ceremony while Kircher and Cubberly will be inducted posthumously.

Since its inception in 1954 the National Hall of Fame has held the induction of honored members in Ishpeming, Michigan, the birthplace of organized skiing in America and the home of the Hall of Fame. “SIA.07 was a fabulous experience for the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame. We had a full house for the Induction Breakfast and everyone came away from the event motivated and with many great memories,” said Tom West CEO of the Hall of Fame. “The continued support from David Ingemie and his staff has been incredible and we look forward to growing the event at this year’s Show.”

“We are very excited to be working with the Hall of Fame and hosting the Induction ceremony at our Show for the second year,” said SIA President David Ingemie. “Last year’s event was extremely successful and provided the ideal opportunity to recognize those outstanding athletes who have given so much to their sports; and we anticipate that this year’s event will exceed our expectations and continue to support our goal of making the Show the ultimate gathering for the snow sports industry.”
