Italian sportswear brand Kappa signed a multi-year sponsorship with U.S. Ski & Snowboard to be the official technical apparel partner of the U.S. Ski Team. Kappa replaces Spyder, which had the ski team’s apparel deal for the past 33 years.

April Sales Climb 8.2 Percent Year-Over-Year

The U.S. Census Bureau said overall retail sales in April were up 0.9 percent seasonally adjusted from March and up 8.2 percent year-over-year. That compared with increases of 1.4 percent month-over-month and 7.3 percent year-over-year in March.

Sellmark Acquires Inforce

Sellmark announced that it had acquired Inforce, a lighting solution brand designed to meet the needs of law enforcement, military, security agencies and outdoorsman.


Catrike Adds To Sales Team

 Catrike, the maker of recumbent trikes based in Orlando, FL, added industry veterans Carlos Pereyra and Darrell Cunningham to its sales team. They join Kristin Dismuke to round out the group.

REI Appoints Chief Supply Chain Officer And General Counsel

REI Co-op announced that it hired Sylvia Wilks as senior vice president, chief supply chain officer and Minnie Alexander as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective May 23 and on May 31, respectively.

Gregory’s Sales Decline 4 Percent In First Quarter

Samsonite International S.A. reported sales in the first quarter ended March 31 at Gregory reached $15.1 million against $15.8 million a year ago, a decline of 4.0 percent on a reported basis. Sales were flat on a currency-neutral basis.

EVent Fabrics Expands Sale Team

EVent Fabrics announced the expansion of its sales team in North America, Southern Europe and China. Joining the company are Temo Reyna, senior sales manager for North America, Lily Li, sales manager China, and Cristian Massignani, sales agent, in Southern Europe.
