KOA Posts Record Revenue, Continued Growth In 2022

Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) capped its 60th year of business in 2022 with record revenue surpassing 2021, the company’s previous highest-grossing year, by 1.3 percent. 2022 registration revenue grew by 34.3 percent over 2019, indicating that camping and outdoor hospitality have reached a new level of popularity since the COVID-19 pandemic.

The RealReal, Inc., the largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods, announced that John E. Koryl would join the company as CEO and a member of its Board of Directors, effective February 6, 2023. 

Boot Barn Slightly Lowers FY Guidance As Q3 Profits Fall

Boot Barn Holdings, Inc. slightly lowered its earnings guidance for its fiscal year ended March 31 while reporting third-quarter profits declined  23.7 percent on a 3.6 percent same-store sales decline. Third-quarter results were in line with a pre-announcement provided in early January.

ICSC: 2022 Holiday Sales Miss Forecasts On Promotional Pressures

The ICSC (International Council Of Shopping Centers) found holiday sales jumped 5.2 percent year over year, falling short of its forecast. ICSC’s survey found 43 percent of U.S. consumers indicating that low prices or good promotions were key motivating factors in where they shopped, significantly ahead of 33 percent in 2021.
