Union Binding Company and Capita Snowboarding will open a new European sales hub in Milano, effective January 1, 2023.
Based in the business and university district of Bicocca, the office will be the headquarters of its European and Italian sales and marketing management team and also a hub for technical and web integration for both brand channels.
Operations at this location will be led by the appointment of Claudio Distasi in a newly formed role as General Manager EMEA for both brands. He will oversee sales and marketing directives for the EMEA, including the alignment of European distributors on multi-territory sales strategies and initiatives. Distasi brings extensive industry experience to the role via a twelve-year career at Luxottica where he was a sales rep and KA manager, sales manager in Italy, and, most recently, business brand manager, APAC, for the Oakley brand.
Stepping into the role of Italian Sales Manager for the fall 2023/winter 2024 sales cycle is Matteo Fumagalli. As a long-term snowboarding vet, Matteo has repped for leading brands, including Union and Capita over the last 25 years.
