Under Armour reported that Yuron White joined the company on April 29 as SVP of Sportswear, Run, Basketball/Curry, and Collaborations. White brings 25 years of experience working in the sportswear industry with deep expertise in footwear.
The company said his appointment is the latest in UA’s strengthening of its product leadership team and the company’s first leadership hire with Kevin Plank as CEO.
White reports directly to Yassine Saidi, chief product officer for Under Armour.

White joins Under Armour from New Balance, where he was the VP of Global Lifestyle, Basketball and Innovation. Prior, he worked at Nike where he was most recently the VP of Performance Sports and Cross Category Concepts, responsible for growth across Nike’s category businesses, including Nike Tennis, Nike Golf, Men’s & Women’s Training, Football, Baseball, and Nike SB. He also held the roles of VP of Footwear at Jordan Brand and VP/GM of Nike Basketball in Shanghai.

In his new role at Under Armour, White is based out of the brand’s Portland office, responsible for creating footwear and apparel and develop and execute product strategies across UA’s sportswear, run, basketball, Curry brand, and collaboration categories.
