Under Armour has signed multiyear sponsorships as the official apparel provider of the Hendrick Motorsports and Michael Waltrip Racing teams.
UA will outfit the pit crew to the front office. The deal
doesn't include the teams’ drivers, according to the Baltimore
Busieneand financial terms weren’t available, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
Under the Hendrick Motorsports deal, UA has the right to use the likeness of Hendrick’s drivers – Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff
Gordon, Jimmie Johnson or Kasey Kahne – as well as the likeness of their car and
number on apparel.
The two-year sponsorship deal with Michael Waltrip Racing is similar. UA wil alsol become the presenting sponsor of a new athletic facility and
gym at Michael Waltrip Racing's headquarters in Cornelius, N.C..
