Under Armour confirmed to the Philadelphia Inquirer that the company has closed the Brand House location in Philadelphia.
“As part of our omni-channel strategy, we continually seek to optimize global operations,” Under Armour said in a statement to the newspaper. “Based on this thorough process, we have decided to close our Philadelphia (Walnut Street) location.”
The store at 1529 Walnut St. opened in August 2016. The newspaper noted that the closing follows the closures of Armani Exchange and Nine West within the last year and a number of luxury retailers having left the Center City shopping district over the past few years.
