Uncharted Supply Co., maker of emergency preparedness products, on Monday announced the addition of Jordan Parise and Ryan Heuser. Parise will serve as Uncharted’s director of sales while Heuser joins the team as the brand’s head of creative.
The new executives will support a sizeable expansion of Uncharted’s product offering and brick-and-mortar retail presence, effective immediately.
“In 2019 we will be announcing an entire line of new products, strategic partnerships and sales channels,” said Uncharted CEO and founder, Christian Schauf. “Building the right team to support these initiatives has been paramount from day one, and we’re pleased to welcome Jordan and Ryan as the first new team members of 2019.”
As director of sales, Parise will focus on rapid expansion of Uncharted’s retail, government, and B2B sales channels. In his first weeks on the job, he has worked alongside Schauf to begin discussions with various outdoor rep groups. Until now, Uncharted has been exclusively sold direct to consumer. Uncharted is in search of a rep group that will support their mission to deliver an in-store experience at specialty retailers nationwide that is both attractive and engaging for the consumer, and profitable for retail partners.
“Jordan may be new to the outdoor space, but is steeped in experience not only in the cutthroat medical device sales industry, but also as a member of professional sports teams operating at a high level. At Uncharted, we first and foremost believe in hiring exceptional people, and Jordan is a huge addition to our team,” said Schauf.
Heuser will play a vital role in guiding the brand’s overall design aesthetic including Uncharted’s retail presence. He plans to use his brand building expertise to keep Uncharted true to its roots as they expand into new products and markets. “I’ve not only been a fan of Ryan’s work, but who he is as a human for nearly a decade. To add someone of Ryan’s experience and branding talent to Uncharted is nothing short of exciting,” said Schauf.
