Ultimate Direction, the maker of brand in hydration and wearable gear, has signed Hardrock 100 winner and global adventurer Anna Frost.
Known by fans and friends as “Frosty,” the New Zealand native is now based in southern Colorado near the San Juan mountains. This season Frost will combine trail racing with fast packing and yoga-focused retreats around the world.
“Anna Frost is a name synonymous with ultrarunning and adventure,” says Buzz Burrell, Ultimate Direction brand VP. “She exudes qualities that inspire and motivate runners. Ultimate Direction is excited to be a part of her next chapter.”
With an athletic career coming up on two decades, Frost is on the pursuit of a lifestyle that blends racing with adventure travel, meditation and yoga.
“My greatest joy has been making a life in the big mountains of the world. Sharing this passion with people, especially women and young girls, while developing other healthful practices is my calling,” Frost said. “With my backyard being the course of the Hardrock 100, mountain running will be a fixture of 2018, whether it’s in competition or exploration.”
Frost’s longtime passion for product development will provide Ultimate Direction with valuable learnings and innovations. Whether it’s running, hiking, fastpack adventures or wearable gear, she will be have a valuable role in the designs coming from U.D.’s Boulder office.
