Two rep firms – Lathrop Associates in the New England region and  Ferrand Associates in the Mid-Atlantic region – announced that they have ended their relationship with Asolo.

Lathrop Associates said that after two stints with the brand starting in 1993, its relationship with Asolo as the representative for the New England region is ending.

“Ever changing business climates challenge vendors to review strategies and react as they deem appropriate”, said Chris Lathrop. “Asolo has always been near and dear to my heart, but we were just not finding ourselves on the same page anymore.”

Lathrop Associates LLC has supported and built outdoor brands in the New England region since 1993. It currently represents Rab, Point6 and the Lowe Alpine brands for the states of ME, NH, VT, MA, CT and RI.

Ferrand Associates, its Mid-Atlantic representatives since 1999, likewise indicated in a separate statement that the two are heading down different trails.

“As vendors adjust their strategies in the ever changing business environment, we must assure that policies are in line with our own long term goals,” said Ray Ferrand. “Asolo makes an awesome product, and we wish them well in these demanding times.”

Ferrand Associates has worked with specialty brands and retailers in the outdoor and winter sports markets since 1985. Currently representing Rab, Point6, Timbuk2, ENO, ZEMgear, Tilley, KnitWits and Snow Peak, Ferrand Associates covers NY, NJ, MD, DE, PA and DC.
