True Fitness Technology Inc., based in O'Fallon, MO, has acquired Los Angeles-based Paramount Fitness. Paramount announced their exit from the industry in August. The True acquisition of Paramount complements the new True Strength products introduced earlier this month.

“Our customers have confidence in our products and have been asking for a comprehensive solution. I believe we can maintain our commitment to True’s cardio and flexibility while diversifying with innovative strength engineering and design,” said Frank Trulaske, CEO and founder of True.  “The addition of Paramount gives us additional core products so we can expand quickly in the strength category.”

Trulaske accelerated True’s planned move into the strength category by adding industry strength designer Joe Ellis in late 2014.  Ellis designed new concepts into production, developing the True FORCE line which was introduced in September.

True Moves into Strength

Paramount, a proven, strength brand worldwide, immediately extends the True Fitness footprint in the category.  Paramount was started in 1954 making it the longest established fitness equipment producer in the world.

With distribution in over 60 countries and 61 plus years of experience, Paramount offers commercial fitness items including single, dual and multi-stack selectorized weight machines, functional trainers, plate-loaded products plus free weight benches, racks and accessories.

Paramount product lines will be integrated under the True Fitness brand and True Fitness will manage and maintain service on most of the Paramount products.
