TREW, the maker of performance outdoor apparel, hired Brittany Crook as VP of design and development, effective immediately.
Crook will be responsible for all aspects of product design and oversight of manufacturing.
Building on strong outdoor design roles at FYI and Arc’teryx, Crook most recently led Women’s Snow & Bike design at Dakine, incorporating a new aesthetic and building two new fits, in addition to aligning design efforts brand-wide for consistency of brand presence and new category opportunities. Crook is an avid snowboarder, splitboard mountaineer, mountain biker, and surfer.
“We’re stoked to add Britt to the TREW team,” said Chris Pew, founder and president at TREW. “She has the great combination of focused experience in our core market, a strong design background and a cutting wit that works well in our office. We look forward to leveraging her talents to refine, renew and refresh the TREW line. We’re not having a baby, but it sort of feels like it!”
“I’m really excited to join TREW,” said Crook. “Honestly it’s such a good fit for me because at TREW, function, style and fun are all tied for first place. That’s how you get ‘Technylish’ which is more or less what I’m known for! Every chance I get, I climb mountains, play in deep pow, have fun in small waves and make goofy jokes… In my new role at TREW, I look at it like I’m making amazing gear for great friends I haven’t met yet.”
