Torque Fitness has named fitness industry veteran Leo Schreuders its vice president of sales for Europe.
“With his industry expertise and passion, strong work ethic and alignment with our goals, Leo is an excellent addition to our team,” said Jerry Dettinger, CEO, Torque Fitness. “We are excited to have him build on our strong international traction and direct our rapid growth.”
Schreuders spent almost 16 years as the managing director of Octane Fitness International B.V., heading all aspects of the company’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In that role, he founded Octane Fitness International and Octane Fitness UK Ltd., established distribution channels and direct sales in the region and oversaw day-to-day operations in the EMEA office.
Previously, he spent a decade at Life Fitness Atlantic B.V. in the Netherlands as sales and marketing director for EMEA. Prior to that, he was the European area manager for Scatch International B.V., the Netherlands, where he established exclusive agency agreements in European territories and handled all key accounts in Germany and France.
Schreuders began his career and spent seven years working for tennis and sporting goods companies and retailers in the Netherlands developing distribution, sales, promotions, and scholarships.
