Topgolf Entertainment Group plans to open two venues in the Los Angeles area in Ontario and El Segundo. These venues will be the first locations to serve Southern California and will bring the total number of venues in California to four, joining Topgolf Roseville outside of Sacramento and Topgolf San Jose, which is expected to open in 2021.
Topgolf Ontario will be located on nearly 14 acres of undeveloped, county-owned land in San Bernardino County adjacent to Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park. The three-level venue, s expected to employ more than 400 once open, will feature 102 hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar and event space for corporate and social events. Topgolf also plans to add a mini-golf experience after the initial venue opening.
Topgolf El Segundo will be located along the Pacific Coast Highway as part of The Lakes at El Segundo 9-hole municipal golf course. Topgolf will assume operations of the 9-hole course as part of the venue’s experience. The venue, also expected to employ nearly 400, will offer both its signature Topgolf experience and a traditional green grass golf course. Topgolf plans to renovate the golf course with night-lighting and enhance the pro shop and clubhouse.
Both locations are scheduled to begin development in February and are expected to open in early 2022.
