Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. brand Topgolf will open its doors in Greensboro on September 13—its fourth venue in North Carolina, with locations in Charlotte and Durham.

Topgolf defines itself as a “modern golf experience where people who have never played golf or want to perfect their swing can participate in the sport in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.”

The Greensboro site is one exit from the I-40 and I-73 interchange and is part of a larger master commercial development that will include entertainment, restaurants and hotel concepts.

Topgolf Greensboro will employ roughly 300 people and is its 102nd global outdoor venue.

Topgolf Greensboro features 72 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning two levels. Each bay has lounge-type furniture or high-top tables, is equipped with Topgolf’s Toptracer technology, which traces a golf ball’s flight path, distance and other metrics. Players aim at large targets on the field while playing virtual courses or Topgolf’s new game, Block Party!

Golf lessons are offered through Topgolf’s Coach program, led by the venue’s director of instruction. The Club Upgrade option allows customers to play with the same clubs as the pros. Rounding out the venue is a full-service restaurant and bar, a 28-foot video wall, over 200 HDTVs, music, year-round family-friendly programming, private event space and a rooftop.
