Tonal launched a Mirror Trade-In program for Lululemon Studio customers as Lululemon phases out the fitness device.
Lululemon has discontinued the sale of Mirror hardware and announced it would cease production of new Mirror fitness equipment after spring 2024.

Through the trade-in program, Mirror customers can trade in their device and receive $250 off the purchase of a refurbished Tonal Trainer, including the first 12 months of a Tonal Program membership for free. Tonal will also remove Mirror devices from the homes of customers who select to participate in the program at no charge.

The Mirror Trade-In program expires on February 12, 2024.

Mirror also reported that popular Lululemon Studio instructors will join Tonal as guest instructors in early 2024.

“We know firsthand the impact a community has on a person’s fitness journey. With the discontinuation of Mirror, we wanted to offer their members an opportunity to become part of the Tonal community. For a limited time, we are offering Mirror owners to save over $1,500 in their first year with Tonal. This is the perfect chance for fitness enthusiasts looking for a fresh start and an inspiring and intelligent fitness routine centered around our unrivaled Coach-led classes,” said Madelyn Sheldon, VP of marketing and PR at Tonal.

In September, Lululemon announced plans to stop selling its Mirror fitness device by the end of 2023 and end producing Peloton-like fitness classes. As part of a partnership, Peloton’s streaming fitness classes became available to Lululemon Studio members on November 1 for Lululemon’s Studio device and for App subscribers. Exclusive Peloton content will also be available through the app to members of Lululemon’s free Essential membership loyalty program.

In the third quarter, Lululemon absorbed $72.1 million in charges related to the discontinuance of its Mirror platform.
