Timbuk2 Designs has hired Andy Anderson as Director of Operations as of September 7, 2004.

“We are delighted to have Andy join the Timbuk2 team to manage our growing operations. Over the past two years our growth has surged with the introduction of new products and the expansion of our international distribution network. Production in our San Francisco factory has doubled, and we have added a number of new supply partnerships. Andy has the experience we need to adapt our organization to meet our new operational challenges,” said Mark Dwight, Timbuk2's CEO.

Mr. Anderson has extensive experience in the outdoor industry and was most recently the National Sales Manager at Dana Designs (a division of K2 Sports). Prior to Dana Designs he spent six years at Mountainsmith as the National Sales Manager and the Director of Operations. His 12 years of industry involvement also include positions at Sweetwater, Inc., Head Winter Sports and Gore Creek Clothing.

“I am excited to join a small, dynamic company like Timbuk2, with so much growth opportunity. Timbuk2 is ideally positioned to take advantage of the urban lifestyle trend in the outdoor industry. The company's bicycle messenger heritage and strong reputation for product quality are an excellent foundation for growth, and San Francisco is such as great city to call home.
