Throughout the 2007 road cycling season Thule will be supporting some of North Americas top road teams, individual riders, and neutral support programs, including Colavita/ Sutter Home presented by Cooking Light, Navigators Insurance Cycling Team, and BMC Racing, who will all be competing in next weeks Amgen Tour of California.
“We are very proud that so many teams, racers, and neutral support programs in the United States entrust our rack systems with their most valuable equipment week in and week out,” said Eric Wallace, Thules Western States Envoy.
Along with the Thule sponsored teams entered in the 2007 Tour of California, Thule will be providing rack systems for the vehicles of all the European teams entered in the event that do not have domestic support vehicles. Also using Thule rack systems will be Mavic, the official neutral support provider to the Tour of California. As part of a year long agreement between the two companies, Mavic will be using Thule rack systems on its vehicles at all the events in North America for which it provides support.
Additionally, Thule announced that it is sponsoring individual Tour of California competitors Chris Horner of Team Predictor-Lotto and Tim Johnson of the Health Net Pro Cycling Team presented by Maxxis. Horner and Johnson, two of the nations top riders, will be using Thule as their personal rack systems, act as ambassadors for the brand, and will provide product feedback to the company.
