Thule is introducing the new 2006 Rack-it Science (RIS) sales training program. Thule will award the first 300 shop employees who complete the program with a limited edition Atlantis 1600 rooftop box – with a maximum of two boxes awarded per store location. The dedicated RIS website, www.rackitscience.com, is scheduled to go live at 6 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 27th.

“We have always offered an incentive for completing the program, but nothing of this magnitude- we’re giving away over $140,000 worth of product,” said TJ Hanson, Thule VP of Marketing.

RIS walks perspective Rack-it Scientists through the history of the company, how to complete a sale, the use of the Thule Fit Guide, and an overview of the product line with emphasis on 2006 new products. Through out the presentation RIS applicants are asked a number of questions which they must answer correctly before proceeding to the next section of the program.

“We first introduced Rack-It Science over 8 years ago and it has evolved from being product driven, to a balance between sales techniques and product information,” said Steve Doviak, Thule Marketing Manager. “For the latest installment, we have employed Adobe’s leading training software Breeze, that allowed us to create a Flash presentation that seamlessly integrates video, text, voice, animation, and interactive questioning.”

“Adobe’s Macromedia Breeze gives Thule everything they need to rapidly create, manage, deploy, and track engaging RIS sales training programs online that shop employees nationwide can access instantly,” said David Slater, product marketing manager at Adobe. “Since Breeze is deployed using Adobe’s Macromedia Flash® Player, already installed on more than 98 percent of Web browsers worldwide, RIS applicants can join the Breeze training without cumbersome downloads, and follow the course at their own pace.”
