Thule has announced the appointment of Tim Ryan as the president of Thule Trailers Inc. Ryan comes to Thule from Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc., where he most recently held the position of president of the Swedish company's US division. Ryan will work out of his office in Akron, Ohio and will report to Fred Clark, president Thule Inc.
“Tim brings a wealth of experience in manufacturing and developing new markets,” said Clark. “He will be integral in the success of our aggressive growth plan for Thule Trailers.”
“Thule is a great brand, and its trailer division has great potential,” said Ryan. “I look forward to working with everyone at Thule and growing the trailer division to be a national leader.”
For the past 24 years, Ryan has worked at Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. of Hartville, Ohio, where he was responsible for the manufacturing of solid tires for forklift and off-road equipment.
Along with Ryan's appointment, Thule Trailers made a number of additional position announcements at Thule Trailers.
Ed Cullivan was named VP of sales and marketing, and will report directly to Ryan. Cullivan, based in the Winslow, ME facility will work closely with Ryan to develop and grow new markets.
Bill Cleaves was named VP, manufacturing and product development and will also report directly to Ryan. Cleaves will be responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Winslow, ME facility with Harvey Schafer, site
manager of the New York facility and Jeremiah Anderson, site manager for the Chicago, IL facility, reporting to him.
