Therm-a-Rest named Erik Flink as the new vice president of the Therm-a-Rest business unit, encompassing Therm-a-Rest, SealLine, Platypus and PackTowl brands. Flink steps into the role having most recently worked as the Therm-a-Rest brand director, where he led strategic planning for all of Therm-a-Rest’s outdoor categories. He will replace outgoing vice president Doug Jacot, who will continue to consult with the company.

In his new role, Flink will create and execute the vision and strategy for the Therm-a-Rest business unit. He will report to Chris Parkhurst, COO of Cascade Designs. “It’s been an honor working with these heritage brands over the years in various capacities,” said Flink. “Therm-a-Rest is a foundational member of the outdoor industry and the opportunity to lead this brand into the future is a privilege.”

Flink brings nearly 20 years of experience with Cascade Designs to his new role. During his tenure at the company, Flink has served as the brand manager of SealLine, where he led the launch of the urban collection in 2004, and as brand director of Platypus, where he revitalized products such as the GravityWorks filtration system and the Big Zip reservoir.
