The Alive and Aspirational panel presentation takes place Friday, August 7 from 9 a.m. to 9:45 at the Downtown Marriott City Creek, across from the Salt Palace.

Schwartz will focus on data trends and how this research can help businesses grow.

According to the latest Sports, Fitness and Outdoor Recreation Participation Report from Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), outdoor activities represent six of the top 10 aspirational activities for the majority of Americans.  

According to Outdoor Retailer and OIA’s Outdoor University, a key presentation on Friday, August 7, 2015, will answer the question: Who are these people that tell us they want to get outdoors, but have failed to do so for one reason or another?

Schwartz will be on hand to help retailers and industry members understand these questions and the insights required to align the results with their businesses. This year’s panel will also feature Ivan Levin from the Outdoor Foundation, Francis Abeywardane of the Coleman Corporation, plus key decision makers from the National Park Service and leading outdoor retailers.

The panel will also look at new outdoor participants across a wide variety of activities to determine if the outdoor industry’s current efforts are attracting the desired target consumers.  

Lastly, the panel will look at one market segment that appears to be answering the call with respect to growing its business, with an inside look into Paddlesports.
