The SeeMore Putter Company has been purchased by golf executives Jim Grundberg and Jason Pouliot. Grundberg and Pouliot garnered fame in the golf industry after growing the Odyssey putter line from under a 5% market share to over a 40% share before turning the brand over to Callaway in late 1999.
The SeeMore Putter brand itself gained notoriety after Payne Stewart won the U.S. Open with a SeeMore putter in his bag the same year.
The new owners plan to optimize SeeMore's patented RifleScope technology in an expanded line of putters in 2007, including a 100% milled series designed for the PGA tour.
In addition to Grundberg and Pouliot, the SeeMore team also includes experienced PGA Tour representative Pat Sellers.
“Our team is knowledgeable and passionate about putters and we love SeeMore's proprietary RifleScope technology,” says Grundberg, managing partner of SeeMore. “SeeMore is a diamond in the rough. We are already well into the process of new product development. We plan to reestablish SeeMore's prominence with the Tour and the world's best players.”
SeeMore putters will be custom-made at the company's headquarters in Franklin, Tenn.
