Fluid Inc., a San Francisco-based interactive design and development firm, announced that it has been selected as the interactive agency of record for The North Face, a subsidiary of VF Corporation. Fluid assumed operational responsibility for www.TheNorthFace.com in late May and is working closely with The North Face team to expand and enhance their online presence.
“After an extensive agency review process, we chose Fluid because of their proven ability to execute, the breadth and depth of their technical knowledge and most importantly, the strength of their team, creative and demonstrated understanding of our brand,” said Jim Gerson, vice president of RD&D and brand management for The North Face. “We are looking forward to exciting things to come with The North Face web site and overall online presence.”
Fluid brings over 13 years of design and development experience and a seasoned team of interactive professionals to The North Face account. “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with The North Face. It's an exciting brand to be a part of, with a tremendous heritage of innovation,” said Kent Deverell, Fluid's Director of Client Services. “The North Face's commitment to the spirit of exploration and technically advanced products provide fertile ground for creating an engaging online presence. Our goal is to help them connect with customers and increase brand loyalty, and ultimately web-based product sales, through a meaningful online experience.”
Fluid has been working with The North Face since June and has already made significant enhancements to the site. Most recently, TheNorthFace.com won Macromedia's Site of the Day award for its extensive online coverage of the week long 4 Winds Supreme Adventure Race featuring daily video, photo and gps positioning updates.
