Lords of the Chiken, a snowboarding project engineered by Jon Stark that showcases the next chapter of Chikenmeat, was released today. The latest video stars Stark, The North Face athlete Blake Paul, Max Warbington, Spencer Schubert, Cole Navin and Dillon Ojo finding famed spots at the abandoned Snowpark in New Zealand, as well as Cardrona and The Remarkables.
Paul explains, “Every snowboard adventure has its own vibe, its own goals, characters, and experiences along the way. Our crew headed down to New Zealand with not much of a plan besides renting a van, documenting some snowboarding, and having an epic adventure along the way. We put 1,100 kilometers under our tires and ten days on our snowboards. We crossed sky diving off our bucket lists and most importantly, explored somewhere none of us had been to before. Plus, we had a damn good time doing it. It’s not too often you come by an independent video project online these days. In the era of big budget films, catalogue shoots, team trips and videos, we set out to create something that we could have complete creative control over. A project that most snowboarders can relate to and enjoy. With that I bring you The Lords of the Chiken, a snowboard trip across the South Island of New Zealand.”
