The North Face appointed Joe Vernachio as vice president of global product, overseeing the brand’s apparel and equipment divisions. Prior to joining The North Face, Vernachio held roles in both operations
and product at Spyder Active Sports, Inc. in Boulder, CO, serving as
chief operating officer and executive vice president of product.

Vernachio began his career as a product manager at Patagonia and
subsequently served domestic and international product roles with Nike,
Calvin Klein and Roots Canada, Ltd.

Reporting to Todd Spaletto Vernachio succeeds Philip Hamilton, who is no longer with the company, effective June 29. Vernachio previously served as vice president of operations at The North Face.

“With more than 25 years of experience in the outdoor product market, Joe Vernachio is a natural fit to lead our global product team and build on its proven track record of bringing athlete-tested, expedition proven products to market,” said Spaletto. “I look forward to seeing our world-class outdoor product lines evolve and diversify under Joe’s leadership.”

“The North Face has a 40-year legacy of pioneering design within the industry,” said Vernachio. “I look forward to working alongside my colleagues to make products of unrivaled performance for athletes everywhere.”
