GoLite will introduce their new Breakaway Series to the bicycle industry at the upcoming Interbike trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 12th – 14th. The product line launch, which includes a full range of packs and apparel, is designed for the road and mountain bike enthusiast and will be available at specialty cycle shops around the world in January 2004.

The decision to enter the cycling market was an obvious one for GoLite according to Co-Founder and President, Demetri Coupounas. “Since we founded GoLite four years ago, cyclists all over the world have been enthusiastically buying our gear, and many have written us letters and emails asking us to apply our cutting edge technologies and innovative design ethic to bike-specific products. Similar to adventure racers, ultra-runners, and alpinists, cyclists need high performance, lightweight, technical gear, and that's what we make.”

As retailers are looking for something fresh and new at this year's Interbike Trade Show, GoLite's Breakaway Series might just be the answer. “We recognize many buyers may come to the show with their pre-seasons locked up, but for those with open-to-buy available, we are offering something new and different that we're confident their customers will be extremely excited about,” said GoLite's North American Sales Director, Chris Lennert. “Our success in the outdoor arena has enabled us to dial in our supply chain. What does that mean to a bicycle retailer? On-time delivery.”
