The Buckle, Inc. announced that sales for the four-week period ended January 29, 2005 increased 13.8% to $25.7 million from sales of $22.6 million in the year-ago four-week period ended January 31, 2004.
Comparable store sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended January 29, 2005 increased 8.6% from comparable store sales for the prior year four-week period ended January 31, 2004.
Net sales year-to-date, for the 52 weeks ended January 29, 2005 increased 11.3% to $470.6 million from $422.8 million for the corresponding 52 weeks in the prior year. Comparable store sales year-to-date were up 6.3% from sales in the same 52-week period of the previous year.
Beginning with the four-week period ended May 1, 2004, the Company changed its method of reporting comparable store sales to exclude Internet sales.
