The Buckle, Inc. announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the four-week period ended July 31, 2010 decreased 9.3% from comparable store net sales for the four-week period ended August 1, 2009. Net sales for the four-week fiscal month ended July 31, 2010 decreased 3.9% to $59.1 million from net sales of $61.5 million for the prior year four-week fiscal month ended August 1, 2009.


Comparable store net sales for the 13-week second quarter ended July 31, 2010 decreased 7.3% from comparable store net sales for the 13-week second quarter ended August 1, 2009. Net sales for the 13-week fiscal period ended July 31, 2010 decreased 2.2% to $188.6 million from net sales of $192.9 million for the prior year 13-week fiscal period ended August 1, 2009.


Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 26-week period ended July 31, 2010 decreased 2.0% from comparable store net sales for the 26-week period ended August 1, 2009. Net sales for the 26-week fiscal period ended July 31, 2010 increased 2.8% to $403.4 million from net sales of $392.6 million for the prior year 26-week fiscal period ended August 1, 2009.
