The Bay, based in Toronto, appointed Alexander Meyer as chief customer officer. Meyer will oversee strategy and customer insights, marketing and creative, loyalty, and communications functions for The Bay and Hudson’s Bay businesses.
Meyer brings more than a decade of experience in marketing, digital transformation, product and business development at globally-recognized brands in the retail sector. In 2021, he was named among the top three in Australia’s Top 50 CMO’s list for the second year in a row. Most recently, for the past five years, Meyer served as CMO for Australia’s The Iconic, Australia and New Zealand’s largest fashion and sports store. Prior, he served in senior and C-suite roles at organizations including Adidas, Vans, Quiksilver, and social content start-up Hubrick.
