Terramar is expanding its base layer sales to Canada with a new Canadian sales initiative.
Sam Rubinfeld, Terramar director of sales in Canada, heads up the Canadian sales team. A veteran of the sports industry, Rubinfeld spent the last 13 years as division manager of the knitwear division of Kombi Sports. His technical knowledge of base layers comes from a lifetime spent in the clothing industry and he is excited to work with the Terramar team.
“Canadian retailers and consumers will surely benefit from Terramars expertise in base layer technology, and the companys vast network of world production sourcing, as well as its commitment to customer service,” says Rubinfeld.
In addition to Rubinfeld, Terramar will be represented in Canada by Andrea Dillon and Associates, in Western Canada (B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba). In Ontario by Barbara Sehn, and by Jean-Marc Emard, who will handle sales in Quebec and has been in the outdoor business for more than 20 years.
Terramar was the pioneer in pure silk, performance base layers. With its Thermasilk® products, Terramar set out to deliver a high-performance line of synthetic base layer garments by embracing the development of “high-tech” moisture management fabrics.
Today, Terramar uses a proprietary ec2 Qwik-Dri electrostatic technology in its base layers that pulls moisture away from the body. In addition to pure silk, Terramar offers 100% pure merino wool base layers in its Thermawool collection, Carbon-Silver in its Sonic-X collection, and this year, ThermaTX2, a new, high-performance 100% pure silk inner layer, 100% merino wool outer layer collection.
