The Tennis Industry Association has added David Malinowski,
the tennis category manager for adidas, and Fred Stringfellow, the executive
director of the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), to its board of
directors.

Malinowski and Stringfellow join Dave Miley of the International Tennis
Federation, who was named in April, as the newest members of the TIA board.

“Were pleased to have both David and Fred join the TIA board of
directors,” said TIA Executive Director Jolyn de Boer. “David and
Fred, along with Dave Miley of the ITF, have broad and valuable experience that
will help this industry and the TIA as we work toward our three key areas of
focus: frequent player growth, tennis economic growth, and
communications/positioning to broaden the TIAs reach with the industry and
consumers.”

Malinowski joined adidas last year and is responsible for all U.S. tennis
products and sales. Prior to adidas, he was the global product manager at
Prince Sports from 2008 to 2010, overseeing the development and marketing of
string, bags, stringing machines and hard goods. From 1996 to 2008, he was the
Mid‐Atlantic territory manager for Wilson Sporting Goods, winning the Regional
Rep of the Year Award multiple times, as well as Wilsons Jack Kramer Rep of
the Year Sales and Service Award.

A USPTA Professional since 1996, Malinowski has managed
tennis specialty stores in the New York and New Jersey area. He attended Drexel
University in Philadelphia, where he played four years on the tennis team and
was captain in his senior year.

As ASBA executive director, Stringfellow represents nearly 400 companies in the
sports facility construction industry, including builders, suppliers and
designers of tennis courts, tracks, sports fields and indoor facilities. He is
co‐CEO of King Stringfellow Group Inc., a Baltimore‐area based Association
Management Company (AMC) that manages 16 national and international trade and
professional associations.

A Certified Association Executive (CAE), Stringfellow serves on the board of
directors of the AMC Institute and chairs the Institutes Content Delivery Task
Force. He is a past chair of the Association Management Council of the American
Society of Association Executives, and a past president of the Maryland Society
of Association Executives. He is a graduate of the Institutes for Organization
Management and a graduate of Ithaca College in New York.

Malinowski and Stringfellow join Miley, the ITF’s executive director of Tennis
Development, on the TIA board. Miley, who joined the ITF in 1991, is
responsible for overseeing the non‐professional activities of the ITF,
including junior, senior and wheelchair tennis, and science and technical
activities, as well as the ITFs Development Program. His job has taken him to
more than 130 countries, advising national tennis associations, conducting
workshops and directing junior training programs.
