Boulder, Colo.-based teko is expanding its distribution into the European market. The company specializes in manufacturing with environmentally sustainable materials and planet-friendly processes.

Based on strong growth in the North American markets and the opportunity that exists in Europe for environmentally sustainable products, teko is launching their products to European customers at the January ISPO Trade Show in Munich.

Teko will be managed and distributed in Europe by Anatom Ltd, a highly respected UK-based company.  Anatom Ltd has been the distributor for Superfeet premium insoles and The Brannock Device in the UK and Ireland for 14 years and more recently for the whole of Europe for the past 4 years.

Anatom worked closely with Phil Oren for over ten years in the development and delivery of the FitSystem by Phil Oren boot fitting workshops regarded by many, even today, as the best in the industry.

Over the past six years Anatom Ltd has successfully distributed another leading sock brand in the UK and Ireland (this relationship ended amicably Dec. 31,  2007). Teko socks will continue to be made in the USA under the strictest of environmental standards. In Europe, teko will offer an additional range of styles – the Summit Series – catering to the tastes of the European market.  Carbon offsets will be purchased for the unavoidable overseas transportation of the socks.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for teko to grow our business by providing Europe with the best socks on the planet,” said teko CEO Jim Heiden. “At the same time, we’ll be spreading the word about sustainability, corporate responsibility and balance between people, animals and the planet.  Anatom is the perfect partner for us in Europe.  We are very excited to have them on board.”

At ISPO in Munich, teko will be showing the complete range of performance socks including the long awaited winter sport ski and snowboard socks.
