Tehama, the golf lifestyle apparel company that was co-founded by Clint Eastwood and Nancy Haley, has named Christine Kim as director of design, merchandising/sourcing.She is responsible for the company's global sourcing as well as all designs for the men's division of Tehama. Her other responsibilities include design and merchandising for Tehama's Arnold Palmer licensed products.


In her new position, Kim reports directly to Anne Ingham, VP of Design.


Kim comes to Tehama with more than 20 years of experience in merchandising, design and advertising for the apparel industry in both U.S and Asia Pacific regions. Most recently, she held the title of Director of Design and Merchandising for 'Gordon & Ferguson' in New York, where she lead 'Colours by Alexander Julian' as well as the company's private label program. Prior to 'Gordon & Ferguson', she held the same role as Director of Design and Merchandising for 'Rainforest Golf and Sportswear' in New York. She also previously directed the design and merchandising for the 'Nick Price Collection' with a focus on casuals and traditional golf wear. In a similar position for Hampton Industries, she coordinated merchandising and production lines for major department stores including: JC Penney, Wal-Mart, Montgomery Ward and Sears Roebuck. Kim's record demonstrates an extensive knowledge of managing people and processes in an international environment. She once held the role of Senior Head of Merchandising and Design for the men's division of 'Fast Retailing (UNIQLO)', working directly for the headquarters of International Business in Tokyo, Japan.

Kim says that Tehama attracts high-energy people with a 'no-excuses' attitude. “I strongly believe that together with the Tehama family, we can grow a successful business within the golf and apparel industries,” she says.


Kim lives in New York, and has traveled extensively in foreign countries to visit factories and explore product development. She enjoys being a working mom, reading poetry and visiting antique shops and vintage stores. She has a degree in Fashion Design and Art from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
