Tecnica Group has tapped Giovanni Zoppas as its new CEO and General Manager, effective May 2021. Zoppas will take over the role held on an interim basis by the Group’s Chairman Alberto Zanatta after its previous CEO, Antonio Dus, left in December 2020.

This appointment is a ‘welcome back for an already familiar face – Zoppas worked with the Tecnica Group as GM of Nordica between 2003 and 2006, during the successful reorganization of the brand after its acquisition by the Tecnica Group, and is also currently a member of the Group’s Board of Directors.

Chairman of the Tecnica Group, Alberto Zanatta said, “The Tecnica Group is pushing forward with materialization with the appointment of a consummate professional who brings with him experience with major international groups and knowledge of our business and local area. Zoppasis from Vittorio Veneto, his career has been a long series of challenges and successes with large international groups such as Benetton, GlaxoSmithKline, the Coin Group, and Marcolin Group, where he was CEO and General Manager between 2012 and 2017. Since October 2017, he has been CEO of Thélios, the joint venture between LVMH and the Marcolin Group, which oversees LVMH Group brands’ eyewear business.
