TaylorMade Golf announced the acquisition of Logan Olson, a small-batch putter designer and manufacturer headquartered in Fortuna, CA, to expand its presence in the putter market.
TaylorMade noted in a media release that it sees the 27-year-old Logan Olson as a “generational talent for putter craftsmanship” and for his capabilities to “marry technical proficiency and attention to detail with the creative ability it takes to produce world-class putters.”
Backed by TaylorMade’s operational and manufacturing capabilities, Olson, shown in the lead photo, will continue to be the principal designer of all Olson products.
In addition, Olson’s work on professional tours will expand with a Tour Matrix of blade and mid-mallet putter heads, enabling TaylorMade’s Tour representatives to fit the best players in the world and make the overall fitting and design process more efficient. Feedback received from Tour athletes, including Nelly Korda, Scottie Scheffler, Tommy Fleetwood, and Collin Morikawa will continue to inspire future Craft Batch putter designs.
When TaylorMade was introduced to Logan Olson, the company’s product creation team was immediately “drawn to his affinity for machining, humble demeanor and passionate work ethic.”
“Whether you’re a professional on Tour, someone who plays the game for the sheer love of it or even a collector with a keen eye for finely crafted putters, Logan’s creations embody a level of craftsmanship that resonates with golfers from all abilities,” said Brian Bazzel, TaylorMade VP of product creation.
In working with TaylorMade’s team of designers, Olson will continue developing his Craft Batch putters and custom designs and expand his presence on professional golf tours worldwide.
“I’ve always appreciated that TaylorMade is a brand that isn’t afraid to take risks and try something different. I feel a resemblance to that in my own work and thoughts on approaching new projects. Being able to utilize the feedback of the best players in the world helps push design criteria to a completely different place,” said Logan Olson
Olson’s Craft Batch No. 3 putters launched in the U.S. and Canada on December 5 USD, exclusively at LoganOlson.com. Craft Batch No. 3 features a Flumber’s Neck, Olson’s take on a blend of plumber’s and flow neck designs commonly found in blade putters. A substantial amount of time went into developing the Flumber’s neck, combining the performance benefits of both plumber’s and flow neck hosel designs into one package.
