Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), a tournament-fishing organization, reached a sponsorship renewal with T-H Marine Supplies Inc., a manufacturer of boat parts and accessories.
Effective immediately, T-H Marine will assume title sponsorship of the Bass Fishing League (BFL), which recently released its schedule of fisheries for 2017. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
In addition to its title sponsorship, T-H Marine will also receive exposure across all FLW platforms, including more than 235 tournaments and Expos, website, social media outlets, FLW Bass Fishing magazine and the “FLW” television show.
“T-H Marine is a natural fit as the title sponsor of the FLW Bass Fishing League,” said Patterson Leeth, FLW VP of marketing. “They provide many essential supplies and accessories that are already found in the majority of our BFL angler’s boats. We recognize T-H Marine’s long-term commitment to FLW and the BFL as an important confirmation of their support to our anglers and their enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors.”
The 2017 BFL is a 24-division circuit devoted to weekend anglers, with 128 tournaments throughout the season, five qualifying events in each division. The top 45 boaters and co-anglers from each division, along with the five winners of the qualifying events, will advance to one of six regional tournaments where they are competing to finish in the top six, which then qualifies them for the BFL All-American. Top performers in the BFL can move up to the Costa FLW Series or the Walmart FLW Tour.
“T-H Marine is very happy that we are renewing and growing our sponsorship of FLW,” said T-H Marine CEO Jeff Huntley. “FLW anglers cover the entire spectrum from recreational weekend fishermen to elite professionals. We are very proud to be plugged into the foundation of bass fishing as the new title sponsor of the T-H Marine Bass Fishing League.”
The 2017 T-H Marine BFL will kick off on January 14 at Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, FL.
FLW provides anglers of all skill levels the opportunity to compete for prize money across five tournament circuits. Headquartered in Benton, KY, with offices in Minneapolis, FLW conducts more than 235 bass-fishing tournaments annually across the U.S. and sanctions tournaments in Canada, China, Mexico, South Africa and South Korea.
