Pete Swenson and Rick Knowles have joined Wasatch Ski Distribution LLC as independent representatives to help market Ski Trab products. Pete, of Boulder, Colorado; currently works as the Vice President of sales for Mayfire, inc, where he markets co-op advertising for BMW and Triumph motorcycles and acts as the company spokesperson.
He is also the founder and director of the Tokyo Joes professional mountain bike team where he has procured support from 10 different sponsors and coordinates team events, race clinics and promotions. Pete, the 2006 North American Randonee Rally champion, competes for the Ski Trab ski mountaineering race team. He is currently organizing the Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup (COSMIC), a 4 race series held throughout Colorado. Pete will represent Ski Trab in Colorado and New Mexico in addition to being the Ski Trab national race program director.
Rick Knowles, of Seattle, Washington; is a ski patroller at Alpental Ski area and Cascade Backcountry Patrol. He also instructs with the National Ski Patrol, teaching both mountain travel & rescue and avalanche safety courses. Rick is a former Nordic racer for South Dakota State University, where he earned an engineering degree. Rick will represent Ski Trab in Washington and Oregon.
